The Washington, D.C.-based company, developed by the ""HOPE NOW Alliance"":http://www.hopenow.com/, is a Web-based instrument that helps simplify the mortgage modification process by allowing HUD-approved housing counselors to collect and then upload modification documents directly to the mortgage servicers and track the applications.

The program is used by homeowners, counselors, and servicers, as well as other related organizations. Currently more than 1,700 housing counselors from 448 organizations all over the country, and 12 major mortgage servicers use HOPE LoanPort.

When the program was in its pilot phase, Chase provided a product manager to help develop the project.

""We are thrilled by Chase's continuing support as we move into the next phase of our evolution. As a non-profit, we know how important these grants are to our future success,"" said Larry Gilmore, president and CEO of HOPE LoanPort.

He continued, ""We are working diligently, with our partners, each day to provide a top-notch, web-based, public utility for all parties with a stake in the future of the American housing market.""

In addition to the $100,000 from Chase, HOPE LoanPort also received $200,000 from ""Radian Guaranty"":http://www.radian.biz/page?name=HomePage in September 2010.
