Linear Title and Closing to Offer Online Portal for Consumers

""Linear Title and Closing"":http://www.lineartitle.com/ announced plans to introduce a web portal just for consumers who have closed on a loan with the company.

Through the portal, consumers can access their personal databases, such as the completed mortgage package, a detailed analysis of the flow of mortgage funds, any rebates due to them, and proof of the mortgage recordation, the Rhode Island-based company explained.

The portal is expected to go live next month.

Currently, clients of Linear Title such as lenders, realtors, and servicers, already have online access to data and documents associated with company transactions.

With the new portal, consumers will also be able to check their mortgage transaction and retrieve documents.

""We have promoted transparency since the inception of our business in 2005. We believe it is the only way to operate a national title agency,"" said Nick Liuzza, president of Linear Title. ""Consumers who close loans with Linear Title will enjoy the benefits of ease of use and instant online access to their information. Of course we are giving consumers the opportunity to opt out so that their information would not be available on line.""
